Welcome to our home on the web! The Scottsville Vol. Fire Dept. was established in 1936. We are located in Southern Albemarle County along side the James River. Today we are still an all-volunteer department with over 40 trained members. We serve approximately 300 square miles and over 10,000 residents. Our main service area is Southern Albemarle County with first due areas in Buckingham, Fluvanna and Nelson Counties. Our fleet includes two Engines, two Tankers, two Command cars, Duty crew car, one Brush truck, one EMS Response Car, one Hazardous Material Containment Trailer, one Utility Trailer and two boats.
Smoke Detectors
Do you have working smoke detectors? If not SVFD can come out and install smoke detectors to residents in our first due area free of charge.
